<div>Everything begins with a thought. </div>
<div>Maybe your think that you look heavier than usual.  Maybe your think your clothes don&#8217;t fit the way that they used to.  It is just a thought at this point.</div>
<div>Until you attach that thought to a want or desire.  The desire to get into some clothes that don&#8217;t fit any longer.  To fit into a smaller size.  Once you take that first step from thought to desire, you are on the road to goal setting.</div>
<div>And that is where weight loss begins.  Being able to aritculate what you want, visualize the outcome, and want it so bad that you can taste it.  Then you are are on the road to permanent weight loss.</div>
<div>Goal setting.</div>
<div>Lets put this into practice.  And I will volunteer to be the practice dummy.  Though I am not all that fond of that terminology. </div>
<div>What I want is to lose weight.  Granted.  But that is too vague.  To be specific, I want to lose 100 lbs.</div>
<div>Holy crap.  That is a lot of lbs.  But in goal setting one million is as good as one.  Why?  Because we are going to break those 100 lbs down into increments.  I am not going to lose 100 lbs overnight.  It will most likely take me the best part of a year to do.  If not more.  But that is the goal 100 lbs.</div>
<div>So I have my goal.  How do I visualize it?  I have pictures of me when I weighed 200 lbs.  I will bring those pics out, even though my hair looks stupid in them, and I will commit the way that I looked then into memory.  And I will on a daily basis bring that picture into mind as if I already weigh that amount.</div>
<div>Hocus pocus?  No.  Mind training is more like it.  And this is the beginning steps to goal setting.  Establishing the goal, being able to picture the end result, and accepting that that result has already been acheived.</div>
